Today mum made me come inside early from my skateboarding practice with Nisha. I was angry at first but then she said it was time to make the Christmas pudding and I got really excited. We make Christmas pudding every year on the same day and it always makes me feel Chrimassy (only thirty sleeps to go!). You have to soak the fruit for hours and hours until it’s ready for mixing. The mixing is hard so the whole family has to help. I normally don’t like raisins but mum’s Christmas pudding makes them nice.

I always have mine with a nice big spoonful of cream. Mum has hers with brandy butter. She says I can have some when I'm a bit older. I don’t think I want to though, once I secretly tried a little bit of hers and it was horrible! She saw my face after I tried it and laughed, saying I was silly. I think she’s silly for liking it. 

After we’ve made the pudding it will sit in a dark cupboard until Christmas day. My favourite part is when we pour brandy on it and light it on fire. Well actually it’s my second favourite part. My favourite is eating it and having seconds!
